Valet Quoting System

Background

Vault Event Media contacted me regarding my capabilities on developing a quoting system for a local valet company that would send out quotes based on information gathered, and then allow the client to pay for services based on the quoted amount.s

Development

This project ended up being a much larger scope than I originally intended / expected. What was originally going to be a simple form for requesting a quote, and then having the capability for the user to pay for it ended up being an entire backend line-of-business application that allowed for client tracking as well as some CRM capabilities as well. This was the first real project that I created using NodeJS and Express. I had a bit of familiarity with how it all worked, but I learned so much during this process, by the time it was completed, I was already itching to re-do the entire thing and apply the skills and knowledge I'd learned at the beginning of the project.

This project turned out to be super fun to work on, and really got me out of the near-burnout that I was starting to find myself in doing Wordpress site after Wordpress site. However, there was a lot that I wanted to do that just didn't have the scope or budget to try at the time. The biggest item was using a framework such as Vue or React to complete all of the front-end features. Instead, it was completed with pure Javascript and very few API calls.
